Biography

Salvador was born about 1729 to Francisco Montes Vigil and María Rivera Jirón del Castillo.[1] In 1751 he married María Diega Francisca Martín Serrano[2] They had at least four children before she died in 1770. He then married María Gertrudis Martín Serrano in 1781.[1] It took them 4 years to get a dispensation to marry because they weren't completely truthful to the priests, hiding the fact that she was a widow and that she had copula illicita with Salvador's first cousin. They were finally granted dispensation on the third application and married on 11 Mar 1781.[3]

Salvador died before his daughter María de la Luz married in 1785.[4]
